The Lessen Promise: Refund Policy

The Lessen Promise has ended. It ended on October 27, 2026, and it does not apply to memberships that start on or after that date. If your first 30 days with Lessen started before October 27, 2026, the policy below still covers those 30 days, as section 8 says. To claim, email admin@lessen.app.

Effective October 19, 2026 · Version 2026-10-19.1

This policy supplements Lessen's Terms and the Billing, Cancellation and Refund Policy. The seller is Udom Software LLC, a Nevada limited liability company, doing business as Lessen, 732 South 6th Street, Suite N, Las Vegas, NV 89101. Email: admin@lessen.app.

1. The promise

Bet less in your first 30 days with Lessen than you did before Lessen, or we refund your first payment. To qualify, you need to let Lessen do its job during those 30 days. You do not have to open the app every day. You do have to answer most of the heads-ups Lessen sends you, keep your autopilot rule on, keep notifications on for Lessen, do three protection steps in your first week and keep your sportsbooks connected. The five conditions are in section 4, and the app shows your progress on each one under Settings, Your first 30 days.

Quit Mode and Lessen Mode are covered the same way. If you are in Quit Mode and a bet happens, the promise still measures whether you bet less than before.

2. Who it covers

3. How "bet less" is measured

4. What the promise asks of you

All five, during your 30 days. Only what Lessen's own records can show counts, because that is what we check. Reading a notification on your lock screen without touching it cannot be seen by Lessen, so it does not count as answering.

  1. Answer at least 4 in 5 heads-ups. A heads-up is a notification with buttons: the briefing before your riskiest hours (Set tonight's number, Move money to savings, I'm good) and the heads-up when a night is going badly (Lock tonight, Dismiss). You answer one by tapping any of its buttons, by opening it in Lessen (tapping the notification does this), or by doing one of its moves in the app (setting or locking tonight's number, or a savings plan), within 24 hours of the moment it reaches your phone. "I'm good" and "Dismiss" count.

    • Only heads-ups Lessen actually delivered count. A heads-up our push service did not accept for your phone never counts against you.
    • A heads-up you have not answered yet does not count against you until its 24 hours are up. One delivered in the last 24 hours of your 30 days counts only if you answer it before the 30 days end.
    • If fewer than 5 heads-ups count in your 30 days, for example because Lessen did not find risky hours to brief you on, this condition is met.
    • Recaps, lock receipts and "send me the number" messages have no buttons. They are never heads-ups and never count either way.
  2. Keep autopilot on. In Lessen Mode, keep the weekly cap rule on ("If I hit my weekly cap, lock me until Monday"). In Quit Mode, keep the night rule on ("If I lose $X in one night, lock the night"). Keep briefings on in full, not "Sunday number only".

    • You have 24 hours after your 30 days start, and 24 hours after any switch between modes, to turn the right rule on. After that it must stay on to the end.
    • Making a rule stricter is always fine. A change that makes your rule weaker ends this condition once it takes effect: turning the rule off, raising its amount, ending one of its locks early, or a higher weekly cap or a change between dollars and bets taking effect. Asking for a change that has not taken effect yet does not count, and you can cancel it.
    • Choosing "Sunday number only" yourself ends this condition. If you chose it before your 30 days started, switch briefings back on within 24 hours of the start.
    • If you ignore briefings for 14 days, Lessen switches you to the Sunday number by itself. That switch is Lessen's, not yours, so it does not end this condition. The heads-ups you did not answer still count in condition 1, and in most cases they already put you under 4 in 5. You can turn briefings back on in Settings at any time.
  3. Keep notifications on for Lessen. Lessen has to be able to reach your phone. This condition is missed only if Lessen had a message to send you and could not, because your phone had stopped giving Lessen a notification address or our push service told us your phone no longer accepts Lessen's notifications, and nothing reached your phone again within 3 days (72 hours). The app tells you as soon as it sees the problem. A sending problem on our side never counts against you. Lessen cannot see every way a phone can silence notifications. Heads-ups that reach a silenced phone still count in condition 1.

  4. Do three protection steps within 7 days of your 30 days starting (168 hours, which is never earlier than the end of your 7th day):

    • Set a deposit limit at every sportsbook you connected. In Quit Mode, set it as low as the sportsbook allows. If a sportsbook or prediction market you connected does not offer deposit limits, this step does not apply to it.
    • Block gambling payments with your bank or card company. If your bank cannot block gambling, removing your saved cards from every connected sportsbook counts instead.
    • Install a gambling blocker on your phone.

You mark each step done in your protection plan inside the app. Lessen cannot see your bank, your phone or your limits, so we rely on your word. Steps you did before your 30 days started also count.

  5. Keep your sportsbooks connected. Do not turn a sportsbook off in Lessen during your 30 days, and repair a connection that drops within 3 days (72 hours). Adding a sportsbook is fine. If a connection stops updating because you self-excluded or took a break at a sportsbook, tell us and it will not count against you.

Your progress on every condition is shown in the app under Settings, Your first 30 days, and on the Home screen while the 30 days run.

Problems on our side never count against you. If Lessen was down, a heads-up did not reach you, a record is missing, a connection broke because of Lessen or its data provider, or anything else on our side kept you from meeting a condition, that condition is treated as met for the time affected. Where our records are incomplete, we read them in your favor.

5. How to claim

6. What the promise is not

7. Records and fairness

To check the promise we use your account records: the heads-ups Lessen delivered and how you answered them, your moves in the app, your autopilot rules and every change to them, your briefing setting, your mode switches, whether Lessen could reach your phone, the protection steps you marked done, your sportsbook connection history, your membership and payment records, and the bets from your connected sportsbooks. They are kept while your account exists, as described in the Retention Schedule, and you can download them with Export my data. The times on these records come from Lessen's servers, not from your phone.

We may refuse a refund where the records show the promise was misused, for example a protection step marked done that was not done, a record changed to look like a condition was met, or more than one claim by the same person. If you disagree with a decision, reply to our email and a person will review it again.

8. Changes

We may change or end the promise for memberships that start later. A change never reduces the promise for 30 days that have already started. If your 30 days started before October 19, 2026, you may be checked under this version or the version that applied when your 30 days started (2026-09-27.1), whichever you meet.
